#Thailand#Sukhothai#Mueang Sukhothai#Attraction Ramkhamhaeng National Museum is located at Muang Kao Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sukhothai Province. The Fine Arts Department has organized the construction in 1960 in the style of a modern Thai building. The museum has two floors, with an area of 812 square meters, the construction was completed in 1963. Then the Fine Arts Department assigned Prince Supatradit Diskun, chief of a storekeeper, archeology department, Mr.Tipa Sangkhawattana, and Mr.Chang Silpto, architecture division properly conducting permanent exhibitions which is an academically exhibition in the art of archeology and archaeological site. His Majesty King Rama IX and Her Majesty the Queen, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn came as a guest of honor in the opening ceremony of the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum, Sukhothai Province on January 25, 1964. Later in 1983, the government allocated a budget of 3 million baht to build a building to celebrate 700 years of Thai calligraphy, and named this building the "700th Anniversary Lai Sue Tai Building". His Majesty King Rama X had been a guest of honor to open this building on November 17, 1983. Currently, this building is using as a conference venue and temporary exhibition hall.
